What is it?

Green Tea incredibly was discovered over 4000 years ago, and has been used in traditional Chinese medicines for just as long. It is well known for being an amazing Antioxidant, and as it contains Caffeine it is a great energy booster. It comes in the form of actual tea bags, loose tea leaves, or can be taken in a capsule form.

It is known to be anti-viral and anti-bacterial, because of the polyphenols in the tea, and in particular catechin, which is called epigallocatechin gallate, or EGCG for short; it is these polyphenols which protect the body. Catechins may also help inhibit fat digestions.

What would I take it for?

Japanese research found those who drank Green Tea had a lower risk of cardiovascular disease. As it is also a well known and strong antioxidant it can also help to stop artery wall plaque forming.
